Imarex trading and membership statistics - September 2005

The total number of freight derivatives transactions recorded at Imarex during the period was 767.

The total number of lots (1 lot=1000 MT or 1 day) traded via Imarex during September was 22 291, with a total nominal transaction value of US$ 467.2 million.

At the end of the period Imarex and NOS has 102 trading and clearing members.

Tanker derivatives:

The total number of tanker derivative contracts traded was 688. The number of lots traded was 16 080 (16 million tonnes).

The average number of lots per transaction was 23.  The nominal trade value of tanker transactions was US$ 350.2 million with an average transaction size of US$ 509 000. 

Dry bulk derivatives: 

The total number of dry bulk derivatives transactions was 79. A total of 6 211 lots were traded (6 211 days). The average number of lots per transaction was 79. 

The nominal transaction value of dry bulk derivatives was US$ 117 million with an average transaction size of US$ 1.48 million.
