Imarex trading and membership statistics - October 2005

The total number of freight derivatives transactions recorded at Imarex during the period was 543. The total number of lots (1 lot=1 000 metric tonnes or 1 day) traded via Imarex during October was 11 380, with a total nominal transaction value of USD 207 million.
At the end of the period Imarex and NOS has 104 trading and clearing members.
Tanker derivatives:
The total number of tanker derivative contracts traded was 472. The number of lots traded was 8 820 (9 million tonnes). The average number of lots per transaction was 19. The nominal trade value of tanker transactions was USD 155 million with an average transaction size of USD 328 000.
Dry bulk derivatives:
The total number of dry bulk derivatives transactions was 71. A total of 2 560 lots were traded (2 560 days). The average number of lots per transaction was 36. The nominal transaction value of dry bulk derivatives was USD 52 million with an average transaction size of USD 726 000.
