Imarex trading and membership statistics – November 2005

The total number of freight derivatives transactions recorded at Imarex during the period was 820. The total number of lots (1 lot=1 000 metric tonnes or 1 day) traded via Imarex during November was 20 019, with a total nominal transaction value of USD 335 million.
Tanker derivatives:
The total number of tanker derivatives contracts traded was 690. The number of lots traded was 13 710 (14 million tonnes). The average number of lots per transaction was 20. The nominal trade value of tanker transactions was USD 236 million with an average transaction size of USD 341 000.
Dry bulk derivatives:
The total number of dry bulk derivatives transactions was 130. A total of 6 309 lots were traded (6 309 days). The average number of lots per transaction was 49. The nominal transaction value of dry bulk derivatives was USD 99 million with an average transaction size of USD 764 000. At the end of the period Imarex and NOS had 105 trading and clearing members.
