ACQUISITION OF SHARES IN IMAREX ASA BY NYMEX HOLDINGS, INC

On the 9th of November, 2007, NYMEX Holdings, Inc.(NYMEX), the parent company of the New York Mercantile Exchange, has entered into an agreement to acquire 1,714,544 shares in IMAREX ASA
(the Company).
Prior to this transaction, NYMEX (together with its subsidiaries) did not own any shares in the Company, nor rights relating to such shares (apart from the shares to be acquired as referred to
above).
Following settlement of this transaction, NYMEX Holdings, Inc. will hold 1,714,544 shares in the Company, representing 15.10% of the Company`s total share capital.
