International Maritime Exchange ASA (OSE: IMAREX) are very pleased to welcome Mr Torstein Bomann-Larsen to its Dry bulk freight derivatives team in Oslo. Mr Bomann-Larsen is an experienced freight derivatives trader who joins IMAREX  on the 1 June 2006 from Western Bulk Carriers, a specialist dry bulk ship operator based in Norway.

"We are extremely pleased to have Torstein join us," says Kim Krohg, Head of Dry bulk derivatives at IMAREX. "He brings experience and skills to our fast growing team, and we believe our members will appreciate having him here - He's a great guy all round and that's important in this business!" adds Krohg.

IMAREX is actively working to drive down the size of an average dry bulk derivatives contract to further boost the number of transactions and bring new principals to the market. IMAREX promotes transparency by publishing daily volume reports, and supports each principal to trade on the IMAREX screen with professional exchange brokers assisting traders.

"Torstein will be a key person in executing our strategy of taking 25% of the dry bulk derivatives market on to the IMAREX screen," says Krohg. He concludes: "Now that IMAREX and NOS are merging ownerships and creating a central marketplace for freight, I believe we are in a stronger position than ever before."

Bomann-Larsen holds a Master of Business and Economics, specialization in Strategy and Strategy Processes from the Norwegian School of Management. Prior to joining Western Bulk Carriers he worked with Accenture, the international consulting group.
