Imarex adds to Singapore dry bulk team
[First published: Wednesday 14 December 2005 2:35:24 pm]Imarex Asia (Pte) Ltd is pleased to announce that Mr David R. Smart has joined the dry bulk derivatives team from his home in Vancouver.
Smart joins Imarex from Argosy Shipbrokers where his extensive handymax expertise was gained.
"With David on side, our Singapore investments are in good hands - we believe he will be a hit with our members in Asia, and add valuable experience to our dry bulk operations there," says Kim Krohg, head of dry bulk derivatives at Imarex.
Smart has extensive previous experience from heavy lift shipping with Argosy in Houston, forest product shipping with Canadian brokers Seatrade Shipping as well as financial futures and options with Dean Witter in Vancouver.
Smart was educated at the University of British Columbia.
